•    This book “Introduction to Pharmaceutics (Theory and Practice)” has been written with the conception of introducing pharmacy students, the fundamentals of pharmaceutics. 
•    The book contains eight chapters. The first chapter provides information about the history of pharmacy, career opportunity in pharmacy, and development of pharmacopoeias, general guidelines for manufacturing etc. Each of the other five chapters contains preliminary information about each type of the pharmaceutical dosage forms like solid dosage, liquid dosage, gaseous dosage, semisolid and their manufacturing’s. Chapter 7 contains information about the systems of weights and measure and Chapter 8 deals with the pharmaceutical calculations like osmolarity, osmolality, dose calculation etc. In the end, few annexure have been incorporated to furnish associated information. 
•    Besides theoretical information about each dosage form, some classical examples of each type have been included along with methods of manufacture to practice in the laboratory.
