This edition incorporates several significant updates, including the integration of the WHO 2022 revisions for classification of all tumors, cysts, and salivary gland neoplasms, alongside the updated nomenclature and terminology. To assist students in visualizing the concepts better, infographics of normal oral histologic structures and histologic lesions of the oral cavity have been incorporated also. In addition to these updates, this edition introduces case-based questions within the text, and review questions—comprising multiple-choice questions (MCQs)—are now provided at the conclusion of each chapter to reinforce the material. To enhance the comprehensibility and facilitate efficient revision, I have incorporated additional flowcharts, tables, and boxes. Summarizing charts, such as those comparing various cysts, odontogenic tumors, and salivary gland diseases, have been included to aid in quick reference.
